Abandon Religion

Abandon Religion

Abandon Religion

By Punkerslut

Why Abandon Religion?

It is so commonly believed today that religion is a source of
goodness and charity for so many people. It is also believed
that to oppose religion is also to oppose the goodness and
charity stipulated to be with it. When I ask others to abandon
religion, they will reply, “Why would you want to abandon
something that has produced so many helpful things?” But I am
not asking people to give up the affectionate and tender ways,
laced with gentleness and humanity. I am not asking that they
give up mercy or justice, things which are just as easily
attainable without religion, if not easier. I am asking people
to give up their fear of hell and daemons, their belief in a
soul and ghosts, their hope of an afterlife and a god, the
creeds founded on the credulous superstitions of their
ancestors. I am not asking the human species to relinquish the
things that are good and accompany every warm heart — I am
asking the human species to ameliorate the ideology that a god
exists that will punish nonbelievers and reward believers, that
will smile at the sufferings of the damned and fortunes of the
saved. I am asking others to abandon religion, which has been a
never-ending source of intolerance for those who have harnessed
any sort of bigotry.

There may be those who persist in the assertion that religion
is inseperable from goodness, and goodness from religion. Would
any religionist be honest to state that without god, they would
allow themselves to be heartless and brutal — to become the
epitome of savage behavior, of unspirited meanness and sincere
hatred? Would anyone who called themselves close to god, and
with good intentions, if this individual were to suddenly
discover that there was no god, would they find themselves to be
less considerate, less hopeful, less charitable? If any
religious person can honestly say yes to this, then it would
only be right to be suspicious of the claim that they are
hopeful, kind, or charitable now. God, this mythical being who
lives apart from the physical world, and his existence are only
questions of science: he either exists or he does not. If he did
not exist, it would hardly deprive anyone of ethical or moral
behavior. If a city, a road, a mountain, a lake, or a natural
formation did not exist that we had believed to exist, at
discovering this, would we abandon all humaneness and all forms
of goodness? Only those who had reveled in hypocrisy and deceit
can truly say so. There is nothing innately special of the
mythical beings called gods that means their existence gives
privilege to moral behavior.

There are, though, the genuine claims that we should not
abandon religion on the grounds that religion has portrayed a
truthful and honest view of the world. Though this claim made be
made on the foundation that we ought to pursue the truth, it
often fails short of that, because religion has universally been
the opponent to investigation and inquiry. There have been times
and eras where the church had disallowed the public from reading
or writing, and had made it punishable by death to be found with
a Bible written in local languages. In 391, Christians burned
down one of the world’s greatest libraries in Alexandra, said to
have housed 700,000 scrolls. [The New Columbia Encyclopedia, 61,
and Eisler, The Chalice and the Blade.] The tale of Galileo
should not need repeating, but perhaps the tale of Giordano
Bruno or Francisco Ferrer need repeating. Though Galileo was
only threatened with death for his claims, Giordano Bruno was
burned to death for his ideas in 1600 and Francisco Ferrer was
shot to death for his beliefs in 1909 — both executed by the
Roman Catholic Church. Giordano Bruno, the great thinker, and
Francisco Ferrer, the great educator; a day does not go by where
their grave loss is mourned by Rationalists and Humanitarians
world wide. Gregory the Great had the library of Palatine Apollo
burned “lest its secular literature distract the faithful men
from the contemplation of heaven.” [Barbara G. Walker, The
Woman's Encyclopedia of Myths and Secrets (San Francisco: Harper
& Row, 1983) 208.] The history of Christianity and organized
religion runs parallel to the history of oppression and slavery.
Examination and inquiry have been restrained, and this can be
found in the evidences that every historian ought to be well
aware of. Even today, we find the same radical fanatics, burning
Harry Potter books, and on the same exact claim that it will
deprive children of the religion of Christianity. We also find
Christian fanatics working to ban books in public libraries,
including works by Mark Twain, J. D. Salinger., and Maya
Angelou, sometimes on the exact claim that these works are
“unChristian.”

But asside from the fact that religion tends to disallow
Freethought and investigation, inquiry and science, can it at
all be permitted to call itself truth? As well as having a long
history of suppressing honest and sincere attempts at sciennce
and truth, religion is also founded on superstition and myth.
When man did not understand the origin of the rainbow, he
postulated that it had divine origin. When man did not
understand the origin of the human female, he made the same
claim. When man did not understand anything that was of natural
phenomena, he often times ran to the easy and simple belief that
it was created from a god or a spirit or a ghost. Even beyond
that, though, the evidences and claims of religion are
synonymous with many cultural myths. As I have discussed in
other works, Santa Claus and god both have a remarkable amount
of similarities: both are mystical beings, both live far away,
both have no evidence, both are only believed because they are
taught by community and elders, both have not been demonstrated,
both have supernatural powers, among an enormous amount of other
similarities. But if one is not content to believe that a man
exists who delivers billions of presents to children on one
night of the year, then why would one be content to believe that
a man exists who delivers billions of souls to heaven or hell?

Upon the hundreds and hundreds of fallacies and errors, we find
that religion itself is something deprived of both merit and
science. It has, for ages, worked against the instruments of
truth, often times denying the population the right to think and
believe as they wish. We also find that the foundation for the
belief in religion is identical to the foundation for the belief
in many cultural myths which have also been abandoned. There is
little truth to be found in religion, once an open-minded
investigation has been allowed to examine its institutes.
Instead of finding a realistic and open-minded viewpoint of the
world, we find flaws, oppression, ignorance, and a sizable
amount of cruelty.

Only a small investigation into the real world would allow us
to discover that many individuals put much stock into the
institute of religion. If we were a free and intelligent people,
without the tyranny of a Capitalist class and government
defending them, people would put less concentration into the
things unseen and put such focus onto the real, materialistic
world. Instead of investing in prayers, people would be offering
their kindest and warmest affections to those around them. We
would not build churches, but homes — we would not ask the gods
for forgiveness for our actions, but those we harmed — we would
not pray for things to happen, but make them happen — we would
not rely on the superstitious myths that have guided so many to
bigotry, or rely on the unseen to do what we must do for
ourselves, or praise anything that was nothing more than an idol
representing cruelty and misguided violence. If a man reserves
his love for a god and for angels, he simultaneously deprives
love from those around him. By giving our kindness and
affection, our sincerest dreams and hopes, desires and
aspirations, to this being without evidence, we are losing focus
of the one thing that we do know: our lives. And by losing focus
on our lives, and those around us, we are ignoring the one thing
that we know for sure: that we, as material beings, do exist,
and that we are capable of feeling joy and suffering. To ignore
this is the greatest of ignorances, and the most grave of all
follies.

Tolerance and Acceptance

If there was a god, I would make only one prayer to him: That
his followers would follow truth over scripture, benevolence
over cruelty, science over myth; to ask his followers to be more
focused and concentrated on the things that exist — their
lovers, their family, their children, their friends — to uphold
truth as beautiful, and kindness as sincerity. There is no other
prayer I could give to such a deity ruling over our Universe. If
I were to make such a prayer, though, it may very well be that
such a god would ask him followers to turn against him. That
would only be so, however, only if the god that exists was the
one of a popular Monotheistic religion. Such gods tend to be
described by their scripture as vicious and unrelenting in their
pursuits to control mankind to devious ends.

Religion and its followers have embraced intolerance and have
called it duty and reverence to their lord. Though the disciples
of the cross have managed to do everything in their power to
destroy liberty and happiness, I would be the last man on this
Earth to say that nobody should be allowed to be a disciple of
the cross, or a follower of any religion. It has been the custom
of religion to oppose freedom of thought, but I certainly cannot
oppose this freedom in any form. Whether a man desires to be a
Christian or an Atheist, a Buddhist or a Hindu, it is their own
decision. It is their actions, and not their beliefs, that ought
to be monitored. My belief that everyone should be entitled to
their belief (as well as beliefs about beliefs) is not derived
from the idea that we should not be like those we oppose.
Rather, it is formed from the idea that everyone deserves the
right to believe as they wish, to consider and investigate for
themselves, that power lies within the individual, and even more
deeper, because I believe in humane and fair treatment, I
believe in justice and compassion. Those are the reasons that
are behind my belief in the right to think and believe as one
wishes.

There are some Christians who I have heard say, “I will not
speak to that man or deal with that man unless he is a
Christian.” There are also many Christians who speak of myself
as though I am the first Atheist to walk this planet. But as
well as speaking of me with that harsh, grave tone, they have
systematically made up lies about myself, claiming that I hate
all who claim to be Christians. It seems impossible to some of
the followers of the divine for Atheists or Agnostics, or any
infidel or heretic, to hold charity and mercy as good values. It
may sometimes even be considered unfulfilling to aid an
nonbeliever in any way, to offer them any sort of affection or
kindness, to give them the fruits of a warm heart. But whether
someone believes that a god exists or not, or in any religion,
there will be one fact about that person that will not waver my
humane treatment of them: that they are a conscious being, that
they can feel pain and suffering or joy and happiness, that
touching their skin gently will produce feelings and emotions of
security and happiness. This is something that will not be
erased, no matter what creeds an individual professes to
believe, no matter what ideologies an individual follows.

The Purpose of a Rationalist Humanitarian

My purpose is not to turn every man an woman into an Atheist or
an Agnostic. Such a proposal would be impractical and difficult
to obtain, at best. My purpose is to offer humane and rational
solutions in comparison to the brutal and dogmatic solutions
offered by others. I would like to convince the clergy and the
ministry to teach their youth how to respect each other, and not
how to respect god. I would like to convince those who believe
in religion that there is no hell. I would like to convince
religionists that there is no need to cry in fear of god’s
punishment, that if there is a god, he is merciful and just.
Offering all of the kindness and affection that can be mustered
from a sincere heart, I would like to offer the world all I can
to make it a better place for everyone to live. To maximize
happiness, to teach people how to treat each other warmly and
thoughtfully, to teach them how to think rationally and
logically, to teach them tolerance and acceptance, beauty and
love, duty and kindness… This is my purpose as a Rationalist
and a Humanitarian.

Wainapanapa Maui, a Playground for your Soul

April 22nd, 2011 No comments

Wainapanapa Maui, a Playground for your Soul

Though Maui is touted for its resorts and long sandy beaches, Wainapanapa packs an array of beauty in one powerful spot. Located just outside of Hana Hawaii, the 122 acre Wainapanapa State Park offers an assortment of treats for the casual viewer and more for swimmers, hikers and campers. Wainapanapa also provides wheelchair accessible areas for viewing the incredible ocean vista from above. Intrepid wanderers should be wary, the ocean is not rational nor considerate and safety should be your first priority.

Wainapanapa is the name for the small family-run campground and recreational area just outside of Hana Town on the island of Maui. Wainapanapa has gorgeous overlooks accessible to anyone. You can watch pounding surf rise from the main blow hole, beach-goers swimming below at the pebbly black sand beach and seabirds circling rocky islets just offshore.

A casual loop trail goes down stone steps through a hau forest where you can swim in freshwater ponds, see interesting cave formations and walk through tunnels of vegetation. The sign at the top of the trail alerts you to the location where an ancient princess was murdered and explains that her blood causes the water turn red at odd times throughout the year. Another easy trail, brings you nearer the blow hole and down to the black sand beach. If the surf is mild, take a dip.

Intermediate and advanced hikers may want to walk the 2 or so miles past the beach to the Hana airport along a very rocky path. Be respectful of the Hawaiian architecture if you can spot it and be mindful of your feet. There are several large pukas (holes) where you can look twenty to forty feet down into the raging sea. Many shorn sea cliffs and a large rock beach sweep the entire length of this walk and a water jug is a must. The views and the obvious power of the ocean here are unspeakable.

If you’d like to take your time, 12 cabins sprawl across the camping area, separated from the main park and an ever present bull who spends his time tied to a lonely tree. The cabins are not very well kept up but they suit for camping facilities. You’ll need a permit/reservation from Maui Parks and Recreation Dept. in Wailuku so be sure to call at least a few weeks before your visit. The cabins usually have 2 twin beds in the living area and two bunks in the bedroom so you can comfortably sleep about 8 people. Each cabin also has an electric stove, kitchen utensils and a few plates and some silverware. On the porch (facing the ocean) you’ll find a nice wooden picnic table for fun lunches even when it’s raining. All the cabins have running water, electric lights, and a fire-pit with grill for outdoor cooking.

Early morning walks from your cabin will bring you home to the magic that is Hana. Papaya and palm trees pepper the area while feral kittens and mongooses scout in wary patrols for scraps of food. A menagerie of birds will salute your ears and flowers will throw swathes of color at your every glance. At night you’ll doze to the comforting sound of giant waves pounding solid rock.

Since you’ve taken the liberty and given yourself time to camp, you may as well stroll the seaside, where you’ll find the other blow-holes, less mentioned but still impressively strong.

At .00 per night a cabin is worth the investment. Sleeping in the wilds of Maui makes for a precious contrast to the bustle of Kihei and Lahaina. The nature of Wainapanapa provides what no hotel service can; Peace of mind, serenity and a sense of the true majesty of the sea.

To get to Wainapanapa head east on Hana Highway from Paia town. After 41.3 miles of curving roads through lush rain-forest and swept grassy cliffs take a left onto Honokalani Rd. Just after Mile Marker 32. Take it slow down Honokalani’s residential setting and stop at a stand to let the locals know you appreciate their willingness to allow you into their private paradise. If your camping, pull right after checking in at the management station. If your just spending an hour or the day, bear left at the management cabin and find a nice place to park.

Wainapanapa is the perfect perfect place for your family, lovers, even alone. If you come to Maui, be sure to visit and if you need a place to stay on the busier side of the island, try these moderately priced Maui condos in Kihei on Maui’s sunny south shore.

Exploring The California Storage Services

Exploring The California Storage Services

California storage facilities are commercial store places, in the state of California, that you can rent to safe-keep your personal belongings and valuables. These warehouses comprise a wide variety of storing units for you to store a vast range of items, whether it is wooden furniture, important documents, precious antiques, jewelry, or vehicles like vintage cars and boats. You would feel the need for California storage, if

* you are downsizing, and moving to a smaller home
* you are going on a long vacation
* you are a tourist, and need some space to safe-keep your luggage
* you plan to renovate your home
* your work requires you to move out of the city for an assignment
* you are expecting some relatives, and need to empty a room to create space for them

Let us explore some of the contemporary features incorporated by the California storage.

The Portables

Portables are the containers or mobile storerooms that you can avail at your doorstep as and when you feel the need for storing. You also have the option to keep such containers on your premises, or send them back to the warehouse premises. Choosing to keep such a storeroom at your own premises gives you the liberty to store goods as and when required. A portable is divided into small chambers to allow for organized packing of your goods. You would do good to make use of the packaging options like wardrobe boxes and edge protectors. When remodeling your dwelling, you can store each room’s belongings in a separate portable. This would make it easier for you to pack and unpack, and reorganize the interiors.

Vehicle Storerooms

California storage provides special storerooms for safekeeping vehicles like cars and boats. You can select from the climate-controlled interior spaces or covered outdoor warehouses. If you own a vintage car or boat and need to store it for a long term, you would be lured into renting an interior space. This would ensure the best possible maintenance and security for your vehicle, while you are away. On the contrary, if you need space for day-to-day parking purposes, you can avail from one of the many outdoor warehouse facilities available in the state of California. California storage provides car storage directories for you to search, select, and reserve a vehicle storeroom online.

Climate-Controlled Facilities

If you require storing temperature and humidity sensitive items, you would do wise to opt for a climate-controlled storeroom. Such items can be electronic equipment like TV and computer, the vintage wines, artworks, wood furniture, and jewelry. Having invested in wines, antiques, and furniture, you should not let bad storage be the reason for their damage. Such special store places maintain the temperature and humidity levels in a range best suited to the storing of sensitive items.

Security

Fenced walls and motion detectors define the exteriors of California storage. Alarm systems raise caution in real-time, marking the presence of an unexpected entity. CCTV cameras, for video monitoring, serve as an add-on to the trained security personnel. Smoke detectors complement fire-fighting equipment. And, the presence of adequate lighting enables the store staff to monitor each and every corner of the store place.

California storage facilities are commercial store places, in the state of California, that you can rent to safe-keep your personal belongings and valuables.more information please visit http://us.storage-mart.com/.

Metropolitics: Why Local Government Is The Solution To Preserve American Democracy (And Society)

Metropolitics: Why Local Government Is The Solution To Preserve American Democracy (And Society)

It’s quite unfortunate that American national elections are perceived as a Partisan Death Match through which 51% of the nation gets to impose its personal beliefs on the hapless 49% minority. America’s Culture War (Kulturkampf for you Germans out there) is still raging, and is increasingly being fought over national social policy. The federal government recently has been arrogating even more authority to dictate our social and economic affairs, whether in defining marriage, inhibiting free speech, or restricting various other forms of free expression. As a result, the livelihoods and interests of every American are increasingly at stake – and are increasingly disregarded in favor of the preferences of powerful special interests. National policy is becoming even more contentious, fractured, and overflowing with candidates promising that they will do everything for everyone – and then proceeding to do nothing for anyone. The libertarian, however, knows there is a better way.

The United States, according to the Constitution, was never intended to allow such majoritarian domination. Instead, our federal system is intended to allow states to experiment with different policies, effectively serving as a laboratory through which new social or economic policies can be tested for the benefit of those who want them. The Constitution’s 10th Amendment guarantees this. It says, “Powers not delegated to the federal government…are reserved to the states, respectively, or to the people.”

Many issues discussed by our aspiring presidential candidates, such as education, marriage, and social policy, are traditional spheres of state authority, allowing for state residents to choose between different approaches to the problem. While heroes of federalism like my governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger, have taken strides to assert state independence in the face of the Federal Leviathan, the political trend clearly continues toward federal control. What results is bad national policy (see No Child Left Behind), Red State/Blue State divides in which opposing factions argue for completely contradictory values, and many other divisions in American society that endanger the cohesion of the American people. The solution to this national problem is to reverse the Big National Government trend and allow more local control by the people themselves, not less.

In today’s pluralistic and highly mobile society, cities (“the people”, according to the 10th Amendment) should have an increased ability to set their own policies – especially on contentious issues such as social policy. The principles and advantages of federalism still hold – it allows for local needs, encourages policy innovation, and makes government more responsive. The cities that provide effective and popular policies in their communities will find an easier time attracting residents, business and other investment. It’s the Constitutional idea, but with 21st century advancement.

Now, this is a fine idea in the abstract, my readers are undoubtedly thinking, but how will it work in reality? Glad you asked.

San Francisco, CA | Gay Marriage

It’s possible that diverse local policy might help bring a truce to some of the most contentious Culture War issues. San Francisco recently attempted to recognize gay marriages. Their attempt was rebuffed by the state, who informed them that only state law sets marriage policy. But why should this be the case? Why can’t San Francisco (or any other gay-loving municipality, for that matter) be allowed to recognize gay marriages within their city limits? It clearly has no effect on the marriage of any person outside the city limits of San Francisco (the putative worry of conservatives), and allows the local achievement of a civil right (the concern of libertarians) without requiring national, or even state sanction. Such a localized policy will undoubtedly prove what this organization has argued all along – that the value of marriage is determined by the spiritual commitment of the two married parties, not by public policy.

Keene, NH | Gun Control

In Keene, New Hampshire, the residence of our libertarian friends over atFree Talk Live, it is perfectly legal to appear anywhere in public carrying a firearm in plain view. It’s a very raw form of the right to bear arms, guaranteed by the Constitution to preserve personal security. The policy works great in New Hampshire, where the most likely reaction to your brandishing a weapon in public is for your neighbor to compliment it, show you his, and invite you to the shooting range on the weekend. But I have an apartment in downtown Los Angeles, California, where the same act would likely affront the ‘hood dignity of an erstwhile felon who is much more likely, in response, to toss you a one-way ticket to the morgue through the barrel of his AK. That’s not to say there aren’t places in California where the public display of one’s chrome four-fifth could work as well as it does in Keene. There certainly are, and those cities (undoubtedly, most of them are in Orange County) should be able to experiment with various firearm measures to achieve the correct balance of self-defense and public safety. It’s an obvious solution. Who knows more about how to keep your local community safe – the people who live there, or Barack Obama?

Denver, CO | Drug Policy

Recently, the city of Denver passed a referendum, entirely legalizing marijuana possession for personal use for those 21 and over. The ordinance, however, faced a fate similar to San Francisco’s attempt to liberalize marriage, and ended up ignored by the Denver police who continued to enforce the stricter state laws on cannabis possession.

Why should Denver be prohibited from respecting the preferences of its own people? Weed Haters are usually concerned about liberal state laws on cannabis attracting hordes of bohemian stoners into the state, presumably raiding suburban donut shops, sitting in parks, movie-hopping, and laughing uncontrollably in public, among other potential crises. But such Puritan fears counsel even more local control over drug policy, thus justifying Denver’s legalization. If 54% of Denver’s voters think the ability to toke up in the privacy of one’s home is worth the potential emigration of Humboldt residents to the Mile High City (no pun intended), shouldn’t they be allowed to deal with the consequences?

Drug War advocates need to see legalized, recreational cannabis use not causing the mass hysteria and social devolution they think it will. Many of these opponents rely on outdated agitprop like Reefer Madness, or past government warnings about cannabis (such as the fact it “causes White women to seek sexual relations with Negroes”) to inform their opinions, having zero basis in fact or experience. However, nothing is instructive like reality. Cities should be given a chance to show the incredible ability of individual Americans to handle freedom and liberty – yes, even the freedom to smoke a little weed.

Miami, FL | Language

This organization recently advocatedfor the adoption of English as America’s national language, for several good reasons that we outlined. But a common objection to this policy is that it harms immigrant communities. Local municipal policy would eliminate that objection, however. Cities like Miami, where Spanish is spoken more often than English, would be free to make Spanish and English co-official languages of the region. Thus, communities of non-English speakers could still be engaged in local government and receive local benefits, while English-speaking communities would still remain free to pursue linguistic assimilation and other important policies. Es muy facil, amigo.

Berkeley, CA | Economic Policy

Under our proposed system of local policy, the most economically “progressive” cities would have a greater ability to set local economic policy. If Berkeley wants to offer a nation-leading welfare program, it should be able to provide a ,000 stipend for every Californian to take up residence in the city, or perhaps universal, high-quality health care, and it can then alone deal with the mass unemployment and non-existent labor productivity, among other economic consequences.

Progressives like George Lakaff, I believe, retain a shred of legitimacy only because their benighted economic policies have no chance of being implemented, and thus they can’t be proven wrong. Allow cities to implement local socialism, for example, and you achieve two things to fix this quandary. a) You make progressives stop whining on National TV, since they finally can create the Worker’s Paradise they so desire in their own backyard, and b) You prove the superiority of market capitalism, once the local tax base in Progressivopolis collapses down to nothing, Atlas Shrugged style. Sounds like a win-win situation to me.

Ida Marketing Services – Actual Deal Or Home Business Pretender?

Ida Marketing Services – Actual Deal Or Home Business Pretender?

IDA MLM. Right here comes an IDA advertising and marketing services assessment with a distinction; it’s unbiased and hopefully informative (let me know at the end if it is entertaining; that is social media after all and when you be here; you’re searching for quality content to assess, reply to and hopefully share). So, let’s take a extra in-depth have a look at IDA Advertising Services…

Look at at more IDA MLM Reviews here also.

One thing to contemplate when on the hunt for a home based business is the individuality of the product. IDA Advertising and marketing Services does this by using The Collision Deductible Reserve Plan or CDRP for short. The means in which it works is simple. Your buyer retains their current insurance supplier and raises the level of their deductable. When a claim pops up they use CDRP to take the pain out of the claim. If such a claim does occur, IDA pays the deductable for the client.

On the monetary aspect, if an accident does occur and the client’s account has not come to maturity, IDA Advertising and marketing services takes care of the deductible and the consumer is charged a small charge ( and up) every 30 days. As soon as the account is mature though, the liberty is there to deposit and take out funds. Can you start to see the advantages? A good promoting point for you as an Associate is that your customer has already began themselves down the street of a purchase by having made the initial funding of their insurance policy. Now you can provide them an enhancement service, or an add-on, which is a much softer sell.

To enroll as a Licensed Associate, you will have  options:

1.    You’ll find a way to order the Fast Track package for 0 and have rapid entry to all of the training modules as nicely as a “Bonus Package” at no extra charge. I would advocate this since you now only must make one sale to grow to be CAB Certified (I will get to that later).

2.    In case your sources are limited and you want to start on a shoestring budget, you can even make an preliminary investment of .ninety five and purchase training modules as you go. It takes slightly longer to get CAB Licensed this manner though. You now require 15 gross sales as a substitute of one. Every sale is value to so you may have a decent income potential whilst you work as much as the certification.

Being CAB Licensed appears to be like like a credential, but from what I can collect, it really helps them get the funding they should preserve the system working and pay the Top Dogs. Let’s get to the MLM part of IDA Advertising Providers now, that’s why you are right here in any case, right? They use a normal downline system with a 5% commission both huge and deep, so the potential for residual earnings is there. Coupled with this technique are bonus swimming pools of 1-4%, once more, pretty standard. Where they draw back is with the annuity plan. Is that a retirement plan of $ forty,000 to 0,000 for an MLM? Obama’s Dangerous Gamble

April 22nd, 2011 No comments

Obama’s Dangerous Gamble

How important is two percent?  When it comes to the reduced rate employees are contributing to the federal coffers via pay roll taxes this year, it can be very important to our wallets indeed.

This year as part of the compromise struck last year between Republicans and the uber left, lead by President Obama, we all are getting a reduction of two percent in the amount we contribute every paycheck to Social Security.  The contribution rate has fallen from its standard 6.2% to 4.2%.  On the flip side of the equation we lost the Making Work Pay credit which reduced our tax burden by up to 0 individually when we knelt at the altar of government and filed our tax returns each year.  The net result of all this is that paychecks this year have gotten bigger.  Yes, even if you did not get a raise from your employer.

I personally could not believe how easily Democrats rolled over and actually allowed a tax cut, of any sort, to go on through.  I was even more amazed that said tax cut was for funds headed to Social Security. That program is one of their most prized possessions and which is now running in the red according to the Congressional Budget Office.  Furthermore the ponzi scheme that is Social Security is going to be whittled away until its reserves dry up by about 2037.  Yeah, so I think I am clearly justified in being surprised at how easily this compromise got done without barely a bitch or a moan from the liberal left who like to use Social Security as a club to beat seniors into submission every election cycle.

Of course the deal cutting these taxes is just for one year.  This semi-holiday on the payroll tax is set to expire for 2012 and will take a bite back out of paychecks in another year.  A year, by the way, that is an election year.

This is a dangerous gamble for President Obama and the left.  And it is one that I struggled to wrap my brain around.  Yes, I understand that with Republicans controlling the House of Representatives the Senate and the White House were in a compromised position.  But to agree to cut taxes on funds headed for Social Security even for one year?  And then have to fight in 2012 against the Republican House, which would seemingly be very willing to keep this tax cut even longer if not permanently, and be seen as supporting a tax increase for all Americans in an election year?  It is ballsy to say the least.

But after talking to some insiders down in Washington I understand it a little more than just a few weeks ago.  As it has been explained to me by people in the know the ploy is that President Obama and the left are putting stock in the fact that with Republicans in control of one of the houses of Congress confidence is going to improve and so too will the economy.  Then, so the theory continues, if the economy improves this year employers will be willing to give out raises to their employees.  Further, the hope is that these raises will be, on average, greater than the money now seen in the paychecks of workers from the decrease of two percent in the payroll tax.  Finally, that when 2012 rolls around the left will be able to stonewall any extension of the payroll tax cut into further years.  While there will be initial furor from the voters over a tax increase this anger will subside by Election Day 2012 because their raises will still allow them to have still a bigger paycheck in 2012 than in 2011.

Whew.

Yeah, I can buy into the fact that liberals would adopt this long and arduous strategy.  Because it is so typical of their thinking.  It’s all about politics.  Never about what is best for America, for liberty and for the citizens.

I, however, personally like the thought of having a little bit more of my own money to invest and provide for my own retirement.  I like the thought of taking that money and earning much, much more for my own wallet than the current government program generates.

But then again I have never been much for the comforting embrace of the federal nanny that our government has become.  I am also hoping that the majority of Americans will see things this way too and get really upset when, come the end of the year, liberals try to raise our taxes again.

Virus of revolution

Virus of revolution

Is it the best when we describe the latest revolutions and protests  of nations fighting against their government with the word  - ” virus ‘ ? and why not?.It started from Tunisia  to Egypt to Bahrain and now it is taking its place in libya.

It was stable in our minds that some arabic rules will never be changed into another rules , many years ago confirmed  this fact, but this year  the fact began to fall down as soon as the virus began to spread in these countries.

It is important to notice that these nations believe that the government is the main reason of their suffering ,these protesters believe that they should make some changes to their life and to their coming generations. Stable rules means unchangable situations , so these revolutions denied the wrong ways of investment ,principles, and conducts which affect   the economy of their countries , on the other hand affect the nature of their life .

So they would accept these rules and their gvernments  if these rules acheived the demands of them ,so we can say that the protests is not against characters that represent the government ,but it will be the  worst when these characters do not represent  the demand of poeple .

People became aware of their rights timely,so why the governments was not aware of these rights , have not expect what would  happen .They have not predict that something  will be changed in their countries . they were unaware of these changes, because some characters iwhich represent their governments  always think only about the needs belonged to them not to their nations ,and only eliminate what will affect their own interests.

what after revolutions ?Will it be the best life ? new rules will appeat after revolution, it  should be aware of poeple demands ,interests and needs , follow  anew strategies in controlling new nations seeking for liberty and reserving rights., and it should take attention about what their nations will be worry about.

the role of scientists and experts in politics seems to be very important nowadays  in observing new events on the world ,to distinguish between real revolutions and false one.every revolution has a justification that convenience the wishes of people  in the world is a real one .
